Art Bollart® by Marc Pairon: the Languagebollart®

First Special Edition of the Bollart®: the Languagebollart®

Marc Pairon, with five bestsellers on his list of achievements already, is since recent times the most published Flemish poet (liefdesverzen.be). His version of the Antwerp bollard is christened Languagebollart and provides additional meaning to the concept of design trouvé as well as to expressing the warm welcome. He uses existing quotes, places them in a different context and adds calligraphic, visually attractive translations (Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese and Arabic), referring to the multicultural character of Antwerp as well as to ‘welcoming visitors with pleasure’. He wraps the created mooring line of language around the Bollart, just like Ariadne’s thread: a support for escaping the labyrinth of isolation.
