Ulrike Bolenz (G, 1958) is a German-Belgian artist, with an impressive list of achievements including numerous international exhibitions, public assignments and entries in renowned collections and musea.

DNA–codes are the connecting symbol between all human beings.
People are defined in our society by scientific codes, numbers and figures. My bollart refers to Leonardo da Vincis 'Kwadratuur des Kreises', the figure with raised arms- the fysical representation of the idea that humans can be defined by mathematical figures - the globe, the square, the sphere or even the cube.

Each of her bollarts is handpainted by the artist herself and become unique works of art.
